An Ad Exchange is a technology platform that facilitates the exchange of supply (advertisers) and demand (publishers) for the buying and selling of advertising inventory.
The ad exchanges operate in the world of programmatic buying and selling, using real time bids (RTB), similar to how trading platforms are used in stock markets.
The purchase of such inventory is made on an ‘impression per impression’ basis, where every single ad impression entered into the ad exchange platform is evaluated according to demographic information, behaviors and the context associated with it, before being assigned, through a real-time auction (RTB), to the advertiser that has the highest bid.
Digital Display Zones has connections to all the major ad Exchanges (mopub, OpenX, smaato etc).
By default, your campaigns will run on all the Exchanges in order to get a wide and complete range of impressions to meet your targets.
If you are looking for a particular type of inventory (for example native, video etc.), you can choose specific exchanges to run your campaign on. This can be done in the Advanced Targeting section in Digital Display Zones console.
Before campaigns can run on the Digital Display Zones DSP they must go through a creative ad approval process, which is handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our Ad Creative team reviews all submitted campaigns, to ensure the ads within those campaigns comply with Digital Display Zones’s creative guidelines. During the review process, ads are also attributed to various content and style categories. Most publishers require information on these ad attributes before allowing a given ad to run on their site.
All creatives, ad tags, and destination URL’s are reviewed separately and will remain pending until each is either approved, denied for violating our creative policy, or placed on hold for technical issues. Once all sites, ad tags and banners are approved, and assuming that your domain has been properly whitelisted with our exchange partners, your campaign will be approved, and your ads should start being served immediately.
Digital Display Zones strives to review ads within 24-hours of submission. Our review hours are Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. GMT
